Using modern technology, can we bring together wildly different ideas from various disciplines and rapidly explore the potential of the resulting numerous unique concept combinations to become radical innovations?

Sensor and Controller System Integration is a four-credit, hands-on venture-based course that covers the interfacing of a wide array of sensors, actuators, instruments and sub-systems to computers and humans of various form factors to build proof-of-concept systems for innovative high-tech products and services.

The focus of the course is on product development & prototyping (as opposed to theoretical design) to foster Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Lab Automation. Some of the entrepreneurial success stories from this class include BlueToe, Buzby Networks, Mashavu, and Briobody. Collectively, these ventures have raised more than $300,000 in seed funding.

Learn how to commercialize your product through a series of lectures and hands-on workshops on entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, innovative thinking, intellectual property and patenting, venture funding, and related issues.
